Sorry for troubling you guys but my mate says someone on here may help. The situation is i bought a bose 28 lifestyle off ebay and it has arrived with no remote control. Having spoke to bose usa they have the remote but won't ship it outside the US and bose europe had the verbals at me for having a us spec machine in europe - they also said that a UK remote will not work(what a bunch of awkward idiots). A friend of a mine has got a pronto ru950 for sale and having done a search on the forums I can see that it should work if the IR is enabled and the correct codes are inputed. The problem been that I don't have the original remote to enable the IR. If anyone could help as I'm not enjoying been ripped off and I am quite peed off about it. If pronto can do the job then I will buy it if not how can I get a USA spec remote in the UK or if not I've bought a very expensive vase for my living room.

Many thanks a very depressed Ian

Well, there are some ccfs in the files area for a Bose lifestyle 28. I'm not knowledgable about Bose, but since the IR codes are in these ccfs, I should think they would work.

Jim, I think you need the RF remote to switch it in the menu (if it is not IR already)

I was wondering about your initial reply, now it makes sense.
