I did a search for hard keys and up/down but couldn't find any threads that applied to the 6009 and this problem. I'm having a hard time getting the two outer hard keys on my TSU6000 to work as I built them in the edit screens.
I only have the problem with my screens for DVD. I was able to have the two inner buttons work as designed but the two outer ones work as page up and page down.
I've rebuilt the DVD ccf file from scratch. When I check the button properites it displays what I want to. But when I run the emulator it displays up and down.
This is a strange one for me.
Anyone have any ideas?

MacroGroup or Device? Which one are you programming?
Also, ensure that you have no labels on these buttons, not even a space, especially if you want to have your Home Hard Buttons punch through to devices or macrogroups.

Hi Lyndel, It's a device.
I don't have any labels on the properties of my home keys. Under the DVD device I have them labeled skip back, Pause, play, skip forward. I learned the pause and play and the labels appeared on the screen but the left and right remained up and down.
If I push the left button when I'm in learn mode the secreen just jumps to the next screen. Same thing with the down button.
I noticed last night that the VCR device has the same up /down label
I've never had this problem with my TSU2000
It might help to know that this ccf is a heavly modified version of Daniel Tonks ccf.
Everything works fine except for this.
Heeeeeeeeeeeelp
Thanks Lyndel

What firmware/software revisions are you using? I seem to remember some problems with the initial software/firmware release and hard button operation on the 6000's.

Hi Bomberjim, This info is on the 3rd setup screen correct?
I think it's V1.5 but I'll check when I'm back home.
I was looking at some of the older ccf files that I had and one that I worked with on march 1st is okay. The one from March 5th has the up/down issue. I'm trying figure out aside from the obvious what caused this to happen.
To bad there isn't an area where I could post the two files so that you could see exactly what I mean. Oka it's version is .tonks CL v1.5 Sys V 1.4 App V1.4

Well, that's the current firmware, so that's not it. Guess it was worth a try.

I'm thinking about going back to my last good file and building from there. I did a couple of merges at that time to get some discrete codes for my TV and DVD player.
It's not a big deal it's just something that I need to fix. Like a challenge I guess.
Frank
Update. In the properties section under action I didn't have anything listed. Once I entered a 0.1 second delay in the section my label appaered and I was able to learn a code to the button. tada.
