I'm having installed a dish HD receiver, the 811. How do I add a "dot" or "dash" to a pronto button when for instance I want to go to 8.01? I'm assuming there must be an ir code for this but no button on their remote. Thanks for any help.

Sorry, I have no idea what you are saying.
Is this a function of the original remote or not?

Thanks Lyndel, I think that's what I'm looking for - now I'll see if it works. I realize I wasn't too clear because I'm just getting into the programming of the Pronto. I did purchasd Dave's online book tho and that really helps clarify some of the rather nebulous manual that comes with the Pronto.

Chuck,

If you have a TSU3000 or TSU7000, you will need to ask those questions in the NG forum. This forum is for the older Philips Pronto line, not the newer Pronto NG line of remotes.

My question relates to the TS-1000, Lyndel and the search did help. Still don't have the ir code for the Dish remote tho. I'll give Dish a call and see if they have an answer. Thanks for your help.

This is really the bottom line that caused the frustration in the Voom thread: Does your Dish receiver support this functionality? Specifically, is it supported with the standard Dish remote that ships with that receiver?

If not, you may find the receiver simply doesn't support direct input of such channels, just like the Voom box. Then it's a Dish problem, not a Pronto (or any) remote problem.

Such a box would ideally allow channel remapping (like every TV I've used in Europe) anyway, to avoid having to use such an obtuse tuning input method.

Anyway, here's some Pronto Hex (not clean and with incorrect repeat structure, but test it anyway if you don't already have these buttons). These are the button types referenced in the Voom thread - I have no idea if their functionality is appropriate for the feature you're after.
