hi! I am using a RC5200 with the RF adapter. all my devices work fine, except for my Escient Tunebase 200 (fireball w/o a harddrive). The remote only work sporadically and when it does it only works for a few commands (scroll down four tracks and then it stops, for example). I recently used an Escient TB 100 with RF and no problems. Any hints?
thank you!

Never had any luck period on an Escient Tunebase! Actually got rid of it for an AudioRequest that is the best thing since sliced bread! No moving parts, no lock-ups, and you don't loose all your CD's to a changer when you want to play them in the car.

If i remember right, the escient remote wouldn't learn into a ubiversal remote. Goto escient's web site and find their ccf for the tb200. I'll bet that will fix your problem.
Just re-read your post also, does the remote work if you put it into ir and try it that way? That would rule out an rf problem???

I'm still having the same problem. IR works fine, but RF is often unresponsive. All of my other gear (receiver, TV, dvd player, cable box) works perfectly. I have moved the RF box all around the room and tried both the direct IR connection, the emitter, and just using the box itself... same problem... any thoughts?

thank you!
