My hard buttons work fine but the touch screen doesn't work at all. I have updated the firmware 4 times and the ccf 4 times as well. Any idea on what else I can do? Is this a common problem for these?

I am just not a happy camper right now. :(

Please see this thread as well.

Crack it open and check the cables. If the screen displays but is not touch sensitive, this may not be the problem. However, it does not hurt to check.

The most common cause of your symptoms are flying/swimming lessons. There's a good change you broke the screen but just didn't drop it hard enough to crack it. Bottom line - screen probably needs replacing.

Thanks for the info. Do these screens normally go out like this? It doesn't even really get used much.
Marantz said it would be under warranty, I just have to find my receipt.....as I am still looking.

No. My experience with the Pronto line is that can take some abuse. But the screen is it's weakest point

Just suddenly go out, with nobody using it? In my house, we would next consider how old the kids are and how many things have been done lately by...you guessed it...nobody. So much so that we simply started blaming Mr. Nobody.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
