Can anyone tell me where I can get discrete codes for the Sony STR-DA7S receiver? Thanks!

Is that the full and complete model number? Is it a new or oldish model? At any rate, it should respond correctly to any Sony receiver discrete codes, unless it's set to AV2... in which case you should be able to change it to AV1 (and if not possible, your options are more limited).

Daniel, I think that should have been STR-DA7ES. I checked the Sony discrete codes on RC but it only has the ON-OFF. Any idea where I can get the others? Thanks!

The best collection of Sony IR commands was put together by Rob Humphries at [Link: hifi-remote.com]

If you got the discrete power commands that were posted in the Discrete section to work, then you know whether it reponds to AV1 and AV2 commands and you can figure out all the rest of the commands. There is a section that explains how to use MakeHex to create pronto hex form the commands listed.

Most of the Sony input commands are pretty common across the board AND if you are using AV1 then there are a lot of ccf files that should have the discrete input commands.
