I recently changed models of a TiVo and added an HD satellite receiver to a Marantz 5000i that someone else had programmed several years ago.

The old ccf has a lot of things I do not do -- EVERY command in every macro is in there twice, and there are no delays except when a long delay is needed (I used 0.1 sec delays between most commands; call me superstitious).

When I try to use the emulator on the Touch Screen Setup program, it works ok until I select a video source.

I just noticed that the error message says that ProntoEmulator has etc etc while this is a Marantz program. Did those guys miss a trick or are my Marantz and Pronto programs overlapping somewhere?

I also notice that there is a copy of ProntoEmulator in each directory for the 5000, 5200, and 9200, but not in the 5000i directory.

Huh?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

IM not sure on why it says ProntoEmulator. But I do have an idea on why it might crash on some commands.

If you know the exact command. Go to that command, where the ir code is stored at. Open it up, and see if the IR code itself has a name for it. If it doesn't, then you have to name the ir code. Double click on the ir code, then click on "label" to name it. Yeah, sounds crazy, but that is a problem with that though.

Kingof,
THANKS ! !

I will do that. One of the totally NUTS things that this guy did when he programmed it is to leave names off of commands. The artwork is the label for him. I have NO CLUE how he created the macros.

But then, all the hidden screens have black buttons with black lettering, and that doesn't even show up in LEARN. Must be he made the thing, then went back to make it harder for others to work with by blanking names and blacking buttons.
