My 9200 has vertical streaks that are obviously related to the location of buttons that are on the screen. If there aren't any buttons, there are no streaks. Is this the way it is normally, or was this factory refurbed unit maybe not done right?
Thanks, Rick

Turn the contrast dial down a bit. This is because the screen is passive matrix. Take a look at [Link: remotecentral.com], you can see some streaking.

Yeah, I've done that but the range of a 'clear' screen is pretty small. What do you use for the contrast setting in the RCs set up selections? I am at 50%.

The digital control in the settings screen is for brightness. I keep that at full. The wheel on the side controls contrast.

Also, disalign the buttons. If you put the buttons just ofset from each other, it could help on the lines.

also use rounded (oval) buttons. The rounded sides make the bands less visible since there is no drastic line
