Thats an excellent example of a well laid out
panel John, Cant get much more intuitive than
that....
However... What did you have to do to get TO
that panel and have the Receiver, TV, and Satellite
box all in the correct mode of operation? (I'm
sure your going to say "I pressed Watch Satellite
on the main home page")
Exactly. The reason I didn't paste that panel is because I haven't finished it yet. But there are MANY files on the site which use this concept.
Many systems consist of not firendly devices.
Maybe he's got an old TV that only has a Toggle
input select... Or other device TOADs.....
The whole reason I make sure every component in the system is integration friendly before I get involved with the design
I consider myself pretty technically advanced,
but I still have a hard time with some remotes
the first time I pick em up.... Especially on
systems that are either A: Old, B: Not well designed,
or C: just not programmed well.
Agreed. Nice part is that any of those systems can be updated for with a more intuitive UI. Whether it be replacimg a few components, redesigning the UI, or simplifying the programming.
