Hi all
After much research on this site i took the plunge.
Just got a ru890 off ebay for £45 and am so pleased with it. Pronto edit is fun and furiating at the same time, but i`ve managed to get my basic setup running, ntl cable box, amp, tv, sub & xbox. Anyway I just wanted to say what a great site this is and thanks.

My goodness, I read the name as Pauline to start with, but that's probably due to the lack of sleep and cider.

Welcome, dear boy. It's pleasing to see the good old English stiff upper lip is alive and well. It's so refreshing to hear of someone getting a Pronto and having a go rather than coming straight here, sheepishly bleating for assistance.

Good to see you had a go first, best way to learn.

Pronto Edit is good, but Tonto as well, another ccf editor that has some great functions.

Theme Master to help keep the theme of your ccf consistant and Tab master for those pages with the flashy card index type tabs. it creates all the tabs and jump links automatically. Have been using Pronto and Tonto both for about 3 years now, only discovered the Tab master option about a week ago!! So easy to creat abs with it

Also go to the file section of this site and download some of the excellent IR hex code analysis and editing apps. Also have a good read of the documentation in the same section. Explains how the hex code is formatted. If only I had seen those files when i first started out, would have saved me asking lots of dump questions
