I have a pronto that keeps loosing it's associated codes assigned to it's hard keys only.

The buttons are making contact because I can re-learn them. When I upload the ccf the codes are still associated to the button. If I then down load the ccf to the panel the buttons will once again function properly for approximately 2 weeks.

Has anyone come accross this and if so do you know a solution?

Haven't seen this personnally, remember reading a few similar cases however. In my experience, problems of this nature (especially hard buttons) can many times be fixed by reflashing the firmware. Even if the firmware is the current version, sometimes it just gets "stale" for lack of a better description.

Just in case you don't know, reflashing can be done in the software, under "tools", and then "update remote".

Thanx Jim, tried that. It didn't make any difference in the end though.
The 2 week or so failing period is what gets me.
+ the after sales support in Australia is non existant.
You buy their product and they leave you high and dry. At least I can send the Marantz back where I got it from.

Well, it shouldn't do that, obviously. You could try using aliases on the hard keys instead of learned codes - might make a difference. Still, if it's under warrantee, getting it replaced might be the best choice. Perhaps someone else has a better idea.

I think it is out of warranty. Trying to get Phillips australia to do something about it is next to impossible.
Thanx again for your suggestions, much appreciated.

You should try Jim's suggestion.

You shouldn't have any IR codes stored directly in a hard key. You should be using an alias to a button that has the IR Code. The general idea is to just have one copy of every code, preferably on a single page. This makes it easier to change to new equipment in the future. And it saves memory by not having unnecessary copies of the codes.

Also, you might have a dirty code. Some people have had the problem you describe and have found that dirty codes caused it.
