Hi all,

I have a Onkyo CHAD USR-5RF remote and need to program it for the following devices:
Integra DTR 7.4 Receiver
Integra CDC 3.1 Cd Player
Integra DPV 5.4 DVD player
Bell ExpressVu 5800 PVR
Bell ExpressVu 6000 HDTV

I have tried searching this site for the codes and am lost. Also, once I have the codes how do I program the remote? I have downloaded CHAD Edit and looked through ccf files but am still lost. Any help at all is appreciated.

Thank you!

You'll have to read though the Pronto FAQ's. I don't think anyone here has the time to tell you how to fully program your remote. But the easiest way fo you to do it, is to choose a layout you like, then teach every command from your OEM remotes.

Hi tom i have looked in the files section and for your first three items on your list are not listed (didnt look at the others)but there are simular models .sometimes these work or what you can do is down load the files see if you like the look of them then learn the right code onto that button from your original remote.

The Integra Chad (Or Onkyo) has all the Integra codes Pre-Loaded.... No need to change.... If your chad is old, you can get an updateed CCF from Integrahometheater.com

As for the Bell units.. They do indeed use the same remote as the Dish Network Receivers.

And it is very easy to learn the codes yourself.

When I got started a few years back, I looked first for component configurations. Pretty quickly I realized that it was more important to me to have a layout that I liked, so I started looking at full system configurations that had the basic units I had, until I found one I liked. Then I took my remotes and learned the key functions I used to the buttons in the downloaded configuration (I did this directly on the pronto) As I got more experience, I started modifying configurations, first by moving buttons around, then by creating new frames, devices, etc. And I still find neat things in the download section of this site, which I shamelessly steal and incorporate in my design. Not only is rewarding to my creative side, but I get all warm inside when I punch a button and several machines simultaneously respond!
