I set up my pronto (TSU 1000) about a year ago, and all was working well. I made some changes using pronto edit today. I then tried to (re)learn a couple of functions.

It seems that the remote won't accept any codes. It simply beeps, and says "FAIL" or something to that effect.

Fortunately, I backed up the CCF before I started so it is working at the moment.

What am I doing wrong? Has some part of the remote died? Do I have to send it out for remedial help?

TIA,

Jeff

Forgive me if this is insulting, but the typical cause is learning to the wrong end of the remote. The learning eye is at the rear of the Pronto.

ummm .... errr - ugh, I guess it is I who needs the remedial help :-)

Thanks, I did say it was a year or so since I messed with this, so I did in fact forget something obvious.

Thanks again,

Jeff
