While working on a TSU6000 all of a sudden when I try to alias anything ProntoEdit crashes. There are no error messages, it just disappears from the screen. This only happens with 1 file, I can alias with all my other files.

The strangest part is that intially while setting this file up I could use the alias feature. Once I got to the clients home it started crashing. I even uninstalled PE and reinstalled it. I got away with just learning the same ir code over and over. Client is happy, so I guess this is the main thing.

I am using aToshiba Satellite with XP Pro, P4, with 512 ram.
Anybody have an idea what is going on, just in case I run into this again.

I think I have heard of this happening once before. If I remember correctly, it crashes when building the selection list of items to alias to. Something was corrupt in the CCF which caused it to crash while building up the list.

The weirdest part is I was setting it up in the morning (including aliasing). I shut down my laptop and took it to the clients house, start working on the activities and bam. Its gone, no warnings, no error messages, and no more ProntoEdit. I am so glad I save frequently.

Go figure!
