My RC-5000 has all of a sudden stopped learning and I can't figure out why.

I tried several different remotes.

I tried eliminating a lot of the devices thinking I may be running out of memory (a distict possibility but how do i know for sure?).

I tried learning through the pc and through the remote directly. I get a "failed" dialog when I go through the pc. When I go through the remote learning mode, ANY button I select to learn results in a buzz (failure sound).

Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Thank you for your time.

In setup (on the remote) it should tell you the amount of free memory remaining.

As Impaqt told you, sounds like you're learning to the wrong end of the remote.

You're right. I didn't say that but I'm doing that.

What's perplexing is that when I put the remote in learn mode, it buzzes me as soon I select the key I want to program. All the manual says in the trouble shooting area is that this is a failure.

Well here's an idea. Download the default ccf. Which can be found in the folder for the software. Then try to learn there. If it learns good then you must not have enough memory on your ccf.

As Jim said, the amount of free space is shown on page 3 of set up.
