As a newbie to this, I have discovered that plagiarism can only take you so far before you have to actually do some work yourself... I would like to customize some frames and buttons I order to fit specific needs, and sometimes the changes I need to make are to the bitmaps themselves. My question is, what program is the best to use to customize bitmaps to what I need (Paint is a royal pain!) without spending major $$$? Also, does anyone know what font Daniel Tonks is using in his CCF? A few things I need aren't there, and I'd like to match it, if possible. Thanks!

I use Marcromedia Fireworks. Great program and cheaper than a lot of suites out there that dont do near as much.

To edit images...
I currently use JASC Paint Shop Pro (PSP) Version 7. I have also used Photoshop, and a shareware program Lview Pro. LView is a PSP7 knockoff and works great for dithering to 4 color grayscale. PSP7 is a bit more tedious in this area. Lview is cheapest(around $40.00 online), followed by PSP ($99.00 @ Best Buy), followed by Photoshop($400+).
As for Daniel's font, do a search on this forum for both Daniel and font. The name is here, I do believe that I also responded to a post once including the URL for the exact Font off the web.
