Is anyone aware of a master list that cross-references the Phillips firmware codes (eg. Sony1, Sony2, Sony3, etc) with the actual vendor model numbers (eg. CDP-325, CDP-425, etc.) that those codes support? I realize that vendors frequently use the same remote for multiple model numbers, although I'm having trouble finding an "equivalent" to the remote for my Sony CDP-C425 Cd Player (remote was lost in a move.) Is trial-and-error the only way to go?

Best way to go is to DL a ccf from the files section... Sony CD's use pretty standard codes, even if you exact model isnt there (It isnt) a close model number should work.

Such a list does not exist. It would be almost impossible to maintain.
