I just installed Windows/XP on a new computer, then installed Prontoedit 4.0.5.
XP lets you define individual user accounts, so I set up 2: one for me, one for my wife. Generally, when I installed programs under one account, they're available under both accounts - but not Prontoedit. It only shows up under the account that installed it. (By "show up" I mean you can click on it under START>ALL PROGRAMS)
Does anyone understand what's going on?

The default for most install kits is that the program is only available for the user under which it was installed. Some kits know about global installation and make the program available to all users.
You simply need to install the software again for each user account that you have set up. You will still end up with only one copy of the software on your computer but the registry will be correctly set up for each user.

Thanks, Peter. This sounds logical.
