Since your already using Daniel's CCF, I think
it's safe to say you've got ProntoEdit up and
running.
The first thing you should make sure of is that
you are running the latest firmware (SYS V1.4;
APP V1.4) and ProntoEdit (V4.0.5). Both are available
from Philips pronto site (
http://ww.pronto.philips.com).
I also suggest printing out the ProntoEdit user
manual. It's 85 pages of useful info for figuring
out how to work your remote. You can find it in
PDF format here:

I think the easiest way of assigning IR codes
is by "learning it":
1. Hook your Pronto up to the computer.
2. Open ProntoEdit and upload the CCF from your
device.
3. Open the frame you want to configure.
4. Right click on the button you want to configure.
5. Click on Properties.
6. Click on "Set IR".
7. Click on "Learn IR".
8. Without disconnecting the Pronto from your
computer, send the IR signal from your existing
remote to the Pronto's learing eye on the bottom.

When learning, download the ccf into the remote after you made the changes to the ccf. DISCONNECT the remote from the pc and place it into learn mode. Once you've learned all of your ir codes, upload the ccf back into prontoedit. And save the ccf with a name that says "learned"
Just make sure that you upload the ccf so that you can save the learned ir codes. Because you download to the remote, you will over ride anything that was done to it.
