Could someone give me an example of how i would construct a set of commands to send to an IR543 using Pro's built in IR set located at devices=home, brands=x10 and CodeSet=1. also what is the difference between that and codeset 2?

One more what would the difference be between X10 and the Universal X10 codes?

Thank you all.

Can't answer that question. But it might be easier to download an X10 CCF from the files areas and use those codes.

I have downloaded a couple of the ccf's but are you not suppose to send a house code first?

Not unless you have the more expensive IR543AH. The IR543's house code is set on the unit and is not adjustable by remote.
