I have a very newbie question. If I am using other's CCF files that have my equipment with the codes already in them, do I need to do anything other than to cut and paste their IR codes into my CCF file? Does it matter if it comes from a 2000 unit to my 6000? If it does, is there a converter so that the codes will work properly. Thanks.

Is there a reason why you can't learn the ir codes from the orginal remotes?

If you want codes from other ccfs, specaily if your remote doesn't have them. Then all you have to do is download the ccf. Open that new downloaded ccf, delete everything that you do not need, which will make it easier in the future. Open your ccf, and click on merge. Cut and paste the ir codes that you want from the downloaded ccf. Then delete the remaining items from the new ccf, so that you can save your ccf with the new codes.

It does not matter if the ccf came from and of the marants remotes, or any of the pronto's remotes. The only one that you'll have problems with is the tsu-3000. Which uses a pcf, and there are no known conversions from pcf to ccf. At least that I know of.
