Can I use the DS1000 Pronto docking station with Onkyo CHAD? It's a lot cheaper than Onkyo BCC-5.

No, remote chasis are very different even though the guts are pretty much t he same.

Of course, the other option is to buy a A battery charging station and 8 batteries. That way you can swap out the batteries when one set gets low.

Cheaper than the TS1000 station even.....

That's definitely an alternative. However, I'll have to reset the clock everytime I switch batteries. :(

I must disagree with that. I haven't touched the clock for any reason other than day light savings time.

Even though I've taken out my batteries, even for a hour, still had good time and day.
