Pronto pro working fine. Cant upload to either of 2 PC's with 2 or 3 different versions of Pronto Edit. Need help. Might send off the remote if you can recover the ccf. $$$$'s to someone that helps. Jim 334 821 7274 jimball@mindspring.comThis message was edited by jim ball on 06/13/03 19:31.

When doing up/downloads. We all suggest waking up the remote. Best done by pressing the backlight button until the up/download starts.
Also, how are the batteries? If their dead enough to have the battery icon come up. Then it might not do any up/downloads.

You need to tell us exactly what happens when you try to upload.
A lot of people have trouble uploading larger CCFs on a Pro, especially with older computers.

My pro just did the same thing. I could upload and download with my ts1000 and a tsu2000 but not the pro on both of my computers. I tried everything...I'm sending mine in today for a replacement.

You could be seeing the large CCF problem as you only have 33% free.
You are running old firmware which doesn't help. Theer were some fixes for uploading problems.
Have you tried uploading using Tonto? You may have more success.

Sound like the same issue to me. My CCF was large as well and I use to have to split it in half to learn and upload to the PC. The problem I have now unfortunately doesn't have a fix :0( My new one is on its way.

The only time you ever need to upload from your ProntoPro is if you have learnt some new codes.
[This is because you are using ProntoEdit to do anything else and you haved saved a copy of your CCF on your PC.]
If your CCF becomes too large to upload, there is a very simple workaround. Create a tiny CCF on your PC just for learning codes, download it, learn yur codes, upload, them merge it into your main CCF.
McNasty, if I understand you correctly, you are hoping that a new Pro wll fix the problem. It won't.

None of my computers are even seeing my remote. The issue he is having is that it has a failed upload. PE doesn't even see my remote to upload from or download to it. I have tried it on many computers, and I can't even reflash the firmware. After talking with Philips, we think it may have a damaged board. How it got damaged I have no idea, but something is wrong.

OK. On re-reading your post, I can see that I picked an alternative interpretation! Hope the new unit works out.

I do too. I've tried everything aside of pulling it apart and checking solderpoints...

McNasty, Have you tried Tonto? I kind of doubt it will work given the extent of your problems, but Tonto does communicate better than PE. Jim L

It is a weird problem. I just downloaded to it a week prior with no issues. I guess it just decided it didn't want to be changed anymore LOL

Ken Sure did...I have about 6 of them, but only tried 3. But if the cable was bad then it wouldn't work for the TS1000 or TSU2000
