Does anyone know if there are discrete codes available for controlling the aspect ratio display on a HITACHI SWX20b RPTV? I need them for my Marantz 5000. The hitachi website published a code for the aspect TOGGLE but not for each individual mode (16x9, 16x9 zoom, 4x3, 4x3 zoom1, etc). A search here, AVSForum, and The Spot did not reveal anything.
BTW, how do you use these codes? I entered in the 8 digits and the pronto claimed the codes were invalid. Are these just suffixes for a standard HITACHI prefix?
Thanks.

I just saw in the forum for TSU3000 that there is a Pronto Hex format for those in which you CAN just put the right prefix in front of those 8 digits.
I don't know what you mean by "standard HITACHI prefix" and I don't think the Marantz 5000 can use those 8 digits without translation into ordinary Pronto Hex.
You can use IRTool or my MakeHex program to translate. Consider a typical Hitachi TV power command for example. It is 50AF 3EC1
The 50 is hex for the device number (80 decimal) and the 3E is hex for the command number (62 decimal). The other two bytes are check bytes that are reconstructed by MakeHex (only one of them is reconstructed by IRTool).
At the risk of having "Star" jump in and complain more about my tendancy to do this, I'll end by saying there are a few more details you need to know to get the translation done with IRTool or MakeHex and you'd need to dig those out of the documentation or one of the several other threads on this subject.
