Hi,

I need remote codes that work for Sharpvision XG-3850E projector. I bought one second hand and the original remote control wasn't included in the package. So if anyone has remote codes for pronto that work with this projector, I would be very thankful. I got zoom, focus and shift, power and vol controls to work, but I still need up,down, left and right and picture modes.

Thank you in advance.

Where did you get zoom, focus and shift from with no origninal remote?

If you post the Pronto Hex for the working functions or a URL for your source of it, that is a more definite spec for the missing functions than the model name is. It would allow easy (for me or Jon A. or few others) searching various libraries of signals that may include the same device as a different model or even brand.

I got them here from the files area of this website, here's the URL

[Link: remotecentral.com]

It was for Sharp XV-101TUW but some of those controls worked for my projector. For some reason the picture mode and up,down, left and right controls didn't work.

I'm not that good at operating ProntoEdit, so I might have missed something, but I don't see any Vol controls in that CCF (which you said worked) nor do I see mode, up, down, left or right, which you said didn't work (which I don't read as the same as "weren't there").

I decoded what was there. It's Sharp protocol, device number 13. There are 256 possible commands in Sharp:13. My MakeHex program can generate the Pronto Hex for the full set of commands if you want to take the time to test all of them. I can email you a text file with those 256 commands if you want (256 commands is too big to post here).

I also checked my library of IR signals and found the Sharp C-10 LCD is also device 13 and its power command matches the CCF you mentioned. However, NONE of its other commands have either the same name nor the same internal command number as any in that CCF. It does have Vol signals, so if something in that CCF was working VOL signals then they don't match.

Its internal command numbers were
157 Adjust-
156 Adjust+
87 Enter
19 Input select
196 Menu
23 Mute
22 Power
57 Status
21 Vol-
20 Vol+

Oh, sorry about that I didn't get the vol controls from that ccf, zoom and focus codes were from that file. Vol controls and inputs were from this file [Link: remotecentral.com] .

It looks like I hadn't downloaded any Sharp Projector CCF files into my local library before, because my local lookup of Sharp:13 found only the one TheaterTouch file I mentioned. I just looked at the collection of Sharp projectors at
[Link: remotecentral.com]
and downloaded the DW-100U, XV-S55U and XV-Z9000U. They all use Sharp device number 13. I expect the whole collection there does.

You got commands from two of those files. I'm rather surprised to hear that the up, down, right and left didn't work because I'd expect those to be compatible across the whole line (though I haven't taken time yet to check).

Did you try signals from just those two CCFs or from other Sharp projector CCF files as well? With that big a collection of devices that are probably compatible or near compatible I'd expect all the signals you want should be in there. If you prefer the full set of 256 clean signals, I can email those.

If you could email them, you can see my email address from my profile. I'll try them if I can't get those ccf codesa at the file area to work.

Thanks for your help, if we ever meet, I'll buy you a pint ;)

Yes, I got them, thank you very much. I already got zoom and focus functions and picture modes to work, all I need now is lens shift function to work, none of the codes won't seem to work with that, strange?? You think I should update the working ccf here, in case someone else needs them?
