I have a ccf file that works quite well for me, but my TSU1000 died after 4 good years of service. I'm now looking into getting a TSU2000 or TSU6000. Would my ccf work on these remotes? I assume it would on the 2000, but what about the 6000? Is there a conversion utility to make a 1000 ccf work with the 6000?

What other issues might I have that I do not see coming? (beyond the fact that I'll obviously not have color utilized on my 6000 until I but new graphics in)

Your 1000 ccf will work on a 2000/6000 or even any of the Marantz's. No coversion is required, but any of the new remotes additional features will not be programmed. Obviously the additional buttons on the 6000 will not be programmed. Since the 1000 doesn't have a Universal Data Base, this will not be a factor either. The new 3000 would require conversion, but I'm not familiar enough with it to offer any opinions.

As far a color goes, PE 4.05 can convert your ccf to color - the results are quite bad I'm told. You could try it, but I'd save a copy of the B&W version just in case.

I converted from a TS1000 to the TSU6000 (Pro) with no problems... just follow Jim's advice re: color because the color part of the conversion was virtually unuseable. My suggestion, convert to B&W, then slowly edit over to colors at your convenience. As for the additional buttons on the 6000, you will find many uses for each device. Add them as you desire.

just make sure to do a file, open in PE 4.x and all should be well (for color) then you will obviously need to add commands to the extra hard buttons and to start changing the icons for color. Also PE 3+ has a new feature that changes all similar icons. If you create color icons that are the exact pixel size you can be done as fast as it takes to make the color icons.

Also for the 3000 PENG does the translation
