I have a 6000 that is locking up and screen is goindg blank. The only thing that get it out is when you remove the battery and replace it. Any indications of what problem I could be having? Thankyou in advance for any help!

it could be a dirty code, some times the remote keeps sending a comand locking it up the remote icon looks like it it's still sending a comand. next time it locks up remember the button you pressed and relearn it. It happened to me on a play command of my vcr ccf I relearned the button and it was solved.
