Has any one had any luck in running the program Pronto Edit IR database Utility lately? I have tried 4 different computers and it will not run. No answer from the author on e-mails that I sent.
Is there some other program out there that allows you to edit the IR database to add in codes from non-Phillips remotes?

Why are you trying to use something that has long been dropped from within ProntoEdit?

I have "taught" my pronto some commands from a new remote. I now want to add them to the database so that I can easily add them to macros. The utility (IR database utility) that is still avaialble but will not run did this quite nicely. Any idea how to add codes to a macro without having them in the database?

Do you have the codes learned on the remote?

If so, then just alais the codes to the marco.

Remember macros can be any button the remote, hard or sotf. Macro side, home panel or device side. Doesn't matter where it's at.

Where a button has more than one action is a macro.

The database utility was absolute crap. The last thing you want to have is multiple copies of the same IR code in your CCF. It takes up memory and makes it difficult to update your CCF if you replace some of your equipment. You should have exactly one copy of each different IR code in your CCF located in the one panel or device. Then use aliases to these codes wherever you need to use them.

BTW it does not add it to theUDB used by the Pronto 2000+, it was an external database used by the 1000 that did not affect anything
