I am brand new to this and by my post yesterday you can see I was trying to teach my TSU6000 but pointing at the wrong end. So here is another basic question I was hoping someone could help me with. I set up a macro to turn on my tv, switch to video1, turn on my receiver, swtich to tivo sound, and turn on my tivo. It works great but here is the problem: The next time I use it, it switches to video 2 since there is one tv/video button that cycles through the different modes. How do I set it to always switch to video1? Thanks for the help.

You need discrete codes, which may or may not exist for your particular brand of television.

Go through the file section of this web site. Looking for your name brand for your tv.

For the most part, the same ir code will work with different model numbers.

some TVs have that ability (known as discrete codes), and if you tell us the brand we might be able to help. You can also look here [Link: remotecentral.com] and some of the CCFs on this site (in the file section).

even if discrete codes do not exist, you might not be out of luck. On some TVs ch+ brings you to the antenna, then you can send an input command to change to input1

You should look through the discrete code section and try them out.
