I have a Pronto TS1000 which I have been using with a TIVO (Philips) with no problem until I recently moved a couple of buttons around and added a new device. Now a couple of the TIVO buttons intermittently fail to operate their intended function. Neither of these buttons were changed or moved. The curious thing is that when they don't work, if I simply scroll the screen up to a different page then back again the buttons return to normal function. I do have the latest firmware and editor program. Has anyone else experienced this king of behavior and/or have any suggestions?

If the buttons are macros, you might need to increase the delays between actions.

No they are not macros, just learned codes.

It is possible that some IR may have gotten corrupted between uploads and downloads. I'd recommend relearning the IR codes to the buttons you are having trouble with. Hope that helps.

I tried that too. It didn't help. It seems like the operating code isn't reading the IR coded correctly until you get off the page and back on it again.

Usually a good thing to do when you have strange (at least on the remote) behavior is reflash the firmware - especially if it's been a while.

You also might have a borderlne IR code. Try re-learning it. Have a look at the hex - if it is much longer than other codes for the same device, it is probably bad.

I'm beginning to think that I have a more serious problem with the Pronto. I'm finding several codes on different components that work intermittently. I've tried re-learning those codes with no luck. Now I've found that some of the hard buttons sometimes fail to work but if I touch the screen once the screen appears the hard buttons magically return to normal operation. Very strange behavior. Has anyone else seen this?

I've had that hard button problem. Again, reflashing the firmware cleared it right up.

You're right! Flashing the code seems to have fixed it. Thanks!
