My ProtoPro stop booting after 6 months. Couldn't get it to turn on for anything.

I called Philips Customer Service and they told where to UPS it to. When I got my UPS tracking number I called them again and gave it to them. Once they verified that UPS was shipping the unit they UPS me a new one.

Now when they told me to ship the unit back they told me NOT (more then once) to include any of the attachments NOT even the battery. Normally I wouldn't do this any how. But customer service rep told me more then once not to include any of them so for sure I didn't.

When the Replacement unit arrived it was a complete unit. Great now I have a second battery, second charger (can keep one in the LR and one near my PC).

I assume they aren't going to call me and ask for the extra items returned.

The reconditioned unit they sent seems like the screen is even better then the one I returned.

Now I am not saying there customer service was good because they sent me extra stuff, but because my replacement unit arrived two days after I sent in my unit. I am sure my unit hasn't arrived to them yet. I elected to send it UPS ground.

Even being with the ProntoPro for a few days was like living in a cave using sticks to lite a fire.

Well Bob, I hope you meant "without" versus "with" as you have stated.

Well the Customer Service is good, but this replacement ProntoPro they sent me isn't.

As my wife said BAD Product Testing. The button on the left that turns on the screen does not work.

And when the unit has been sitting a while it is doesn't want to light up. Tilt the unit the screen doesn't always come on. Then it does and goes off quickly. Once it comes on it seems to be on OK while I am using it, but to get it to come on is a real pain so I will be calling in Monday to see about returning this one and get a replacement for it.

Will keep you guys informed as to what is up. Sure hope that I don't have to do this 3 or 4 times, I will assume (you know what they say about that word) that this was just a slip up.

Got my second one and of course another charger and serial setup. Maybe I should keep sending it back and getting these charger units and sell them on EBay.

Anyway this unit has been working fine for over a week now.

Wish I could find one of those leather cases so that the unit slide off the end table so easy.
