I'm sure he meant the remote FOR that particular device model, not the the remote whose model number is that, so XC-3716C is what it controls.
Even though the Exact model number may not be in
the database, its very likly that another similar
remote will work just dandy.
Since there is a Mitsubishi XC-3730C in the database (under Televisions) and several similar model numbers in other databases under Monitors, I guess this is some sort of Monitor (though I never heard of it before this thread).
BTW, the XC-3730C in the database seems to use the same commands as the XC3315C that Star linked to, so it's a pretty safe bet that 3716C uses those commands as well. (So Star's answer was all this thread really needed).
One strange thing about both those files. Most of the commands are NEC1:130.100, so that must be the protocol this device uses, but the vol-, vol+, mute, info, and OFF commands are all Mitsubishi:71 (the code used by typical Mitsubishi TV's) which is a totally unrelated protocol. If those five commands really work, this device must be made of subdevices that have independent IR decoders. Even stranger, both those command sets have CH+ and CH- functions that are NEC1:12.251, which is from a Hughes DSS. Does that mean one copied from the other and left in commands from an unrelated device? I can't believe those functions are for the Mitsubishi device.
