Bitmap manipulation must be done in an outside (3rd party) graphics programs. Lots of folks here use Paintshop Pro.

The full size of the useable area on a Pronto is 219 X 240. In order to make a background for a panel, you must add a frame to the panel, then in properties, "load" a bitmap to the icon property.

the image needs to be a bitmap.
1) add a frame to your panel (frames are used for backgrounds)
2) dblclk the frame and then click the icon tab
3)dblclk the icon box
4) pick the bmp file
