When I finish a macro by using the command to go to a specific device, the system always defoults to template number 1 for whatever device I select.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to jump to a device template other than number 1. Thanks

If you go to the template you want for a device before you record that template it should work as you desire. (Did that make sense?)

Hi,
Bill's note is correct. Pronto always remembers the last active template. For example, if you are in your "surfing" macro group (just one of several macro groups), and then switch to the device pulldown menu, you will automatically go to the last active device (and template for that device). Switching back to your macro groups will automatically return you to your "surfing group."

Before you start programing macros, first place Pronto on the device AND the template to which you want the macro to jump. Then go to the macro memu and start programming as usual.

Clay: that's not the way it works here. Yes, the Pronto does remember the last template you were in for a particular device, but not when you use a GO command in a Macro.

For instance, set VCR to template #5. Start recording a macro. Switch back to VCR (which is on template #5), pull down the Device Listing menu, press the left button & click on the device you want to switch to when the macro is over. The Pronto will beep to confirm it has recorded the GO action.

Now, when you look at the macro it will say

GO: VCR - 1

which means VCR template #1. It always records #1 - it doesn't record #5, #3, etc. This will be possible via the SOFTWARE, but is not currently supported with the built-in application.

What would be nice is a GO command with no template specified - so it operates just like the device menu and returns you to whatever template was last used. Possible?

Thanks for the input guys. I had this sinking feeling that I would have to wait for the software to be available but patience is not one of my cardinal virtues.

I have the same experience as Clay and Daniel. Can only program for template 1.
I am also waiting for software to correct the problem.
