My question is this. I have a device that is too new for this remote so I wanted to do learning. How can I map the power button of my buffalo media center to the power button on the Radio Shack?

The 15-2116 is a great remote, so don't give up on it. If you get yourself a JP1 cable you will be able to use this remote for years to come, regardless of what new devices you buy.
