Hello!

I have CD Player Aiwa XC-004, and I need code for this CD, please help....
I have not original remote :-(

I think you left out an important part of that lirc file.

Where did you get the lirc file? When you want to ask a question about any file you have downloaded from somewhere on the net, you should always provide the URL from which you got the file.

This one was easy to find with google

Edit: I don't have data handy for the urc8206. But in many OneForAll models the setup code CD/0124 matches that lirc file.

Yes. The setup code AUD/1405 can generate any of the signals for that CD using five digit EFC KeyMoves (also called "key magic").

I don't have any instructions for the urc8206 handy, but I think it uses five digit EFC numbers (rather than the three digit EFC numbers used by older models). Three digit EFC numbers don't work with AUD/1405

Code 0124 for CD does not work.

Which meaning of "does not work"? The 8206 rejects that setup code? Or 8206 accepts that setup code and then generates signals that don't operate your CD?

I am programming button on the AUD code 1405 and employs buttons play,stop,pause,rewind...
Change the mode button(MAGIC-MODE-AUD-CD), then assigned Code 1405 for the CD, and "play" button does not work,
but "stop,pause, rewind" - These buttons are...curiously :-)

In normal mode, can not enter the 1405 code for CD, the code for the AUD.
And can not enter the 0124 code for CD.

I have another idea (after finding some info I had forgotten about the 8206).

The 8206 does not include the setup code CD/0124.

There is a support site for the 8206, where you can download .wav files for one or a few of the setup codes missing from your 8206. I forget the details, but I'm sure they are in many other threads in this forum.

You could get a .wav file to add CD/0124 to your 8206. Then you would need fewer keymoves (most buttons would be correct without keymoves) and you could use 00 in front of a three digit EFC for any functions that need keymoves. The three digit EFC numbers are easier to get than five digit. Three digit EFC number work for CD/0124, but not for AUD/1405.

You already seem to know how to assign an AUD setup code to the CD device button.

Several different JP1 programs programs include the tool to translate from those two digit Hex codes to three digit EFC for CD/0124. The translation to five digit EFC for AUD/1405 is a little trickier.

Yes, I would like to select the device "CD" and control device "CD".
And use the other buttons "1,2,3,4 etc" :)

I think you must have a keymove, learned signal or macro already defined on the play button. Changing setup codes does not clear that.

The play button in AUD/1405 matches the play function in the lirc file you found.

Also Pause, Stop, Rew, FF, and Random match

Exit is same as Stop.
Skip+ and Skip- are same as FF and Rew (even though they ought to be different).

I can't find the URL where you register, but I found several mentions in various forums that there is some URL in the 8206 documentation and that after you "register" at that URL you get the ability to download .wav files for setup codes for your 8206.

You replaced the bad keymove, which fixed the symptom, but you could have just canceled the bad keymove.

Do you understand those five digit EFC numbers are only for use with AUD/1405 and not for CD/0124?

Now that you have CD/0124 it will be much easier to compute three digit EFC numbers and put 00 in front of them.

But if you were just curious:

1) For each function, first compute the OBC number. For CD/0124 when you put either the hex or the 3 digit EFC into the EFC calculator, the OBC number shows up in the LSB field.

2) I started creating a JP1 upgrade in the KeyMapMaster spreadsheet. I selected the "Aiwa Combo" protocol (which corresponds to AUD/1405), then I switched to the functions sheet and pressed the OBC button (so KM would let me type OBC numbers) then I typed 118 (the internal dev code of these signals) into a cell in the "byte2/dev" column. Then I typed an OBC number into the OBC column of that same row and KM computed the correct five digit EFC number.

The "Aiwa" protocol used by CD/0124 and the "Aiwa combo" protocol used by AUD/1405 can generate the same IR signals, but they do so with different hex commands and different EFC numbers. The Hex commands used by CD/0124 can be computed as I showed you from the lirc data. But the hex commands for AUD/1405 are harder to get. So I needed three stages of translation to get from the lirc data to five digit EFC numbers for AUD/1405.

Very convenient, you can create a file on multiple devices.

The Java program RemoteMaster should do the same job as KeyMapMaster. In most tricky cases, such as Aiwa Combo, it does so in a more understandable form than KM. (But in a few cases KM is better).

My install of Sun Java is still messed up, so I couldn't test to see if RM is as good or better than KM for this case.

If you are having trouble with Excell, but can install Sun Java (free), you might want to try RM instead of KM.
