My Denon AVR-2700 does not respond to the P-on P-off advance codes identified on this forum and Rob's web site (Device Code 0160, Adv Codes 246, 248). It works just fine with Power toggle (Device Code 0160, Adv Code 022). I have an RS 15-1994 remote. Is this receiver not programmed to operate discrete power functions... any other thoughts? Thanks for the help.

Denon publishes their IR commands for some units but the AVR-2700. It has the AVR-2802, AVR-1803 and AVR-1603 and all of them would appear to respond to the codes you listed above.
Is it possible that you have learned commands assigned to those keys? If so I believe that they take priority over EFC's that are assigned.
Also many receivers will turn on from off when you select one of the input commands. Some respond that way to a few inputs but not all. Try the OEM remote, with new batteries and test out all the inputs from off if all else fails.
