1) I have successfully set up a macro: when I pull up Pre-AMP button and then touch 'DVD' the amp and all components in the entertainment center turn on and 'go' where they are supposed. One would think by touching the DVD button again, the process would reverse and everything turns off- but this is NOT the case.
Any suggestions?

2) Would like that when I touch the 'TV' hard button on the main Device screen that the TV would turn on- instead (and no change here) I am taken to the TV page where I still manually touch the power. Call it lazy, but isn't a macro supposed to make short cuts?
Any suggestions here?

For the first situation, if everything does not turn off by using the same macro, then one or more of your componets may require a discret IR code for the off function.

In the second case you might want to reconsider being too "lazy"! ;-)
Sure, it can be done by setting up a custom startup page using Neohacker and setting a link from the TV button on the startup page to the TV "ON" button, followed by a jump to the TV page.
You however run into one little problem!
If you leave the TV device for any reason, say to operate a vcr or such, going back to the TV device will effectivly shut off the TV which you would have to turn back on.

There are ways around it I guess like adding TV controls to other devices but it sounds like too much work just to save an extra keystroke to turn on the TV.

1. I know for my receiver when you press DVD, TV, 5.1, etc. These are descrete power buttons which turn the receiver on and place it to that input. However, It will not power the unit down when pressed again. What I have done is make a home page which has all I want to do. When I press DVD the amp powers on to the correct input, DVD on, TV on and to correct input and a jump to DVD page on remote. I press power, the DVD turns off returns me to the home page and when I press another function all thats not needed powers off and the other things power on. Macros make things nice.

2. I don't use the device page because I have my home page default to start. Furthermore, you can't make changes to the device page using NeoEdit, this is why you need to make extra steps. If you really want to make changes to the device page, Twilight, is correct you would need to use NeoHacker. A very nice app. for the neo.
