I have had my neo for about 2 weeks I thinks it great sosar but needs some work to make it easier to use.the software it came with seems hard to usew and I can't figure out where to start.I am not that computer literate and need some direction in what the starting point is.I bought the neo because my wife was getting pissed about the 6 remotes on the coffe table, now the are on the mantle getting closer to a drawer I hope.
But I just can't figure out how to use the freking software to really customize the thing.Any help offered would be greatly appreciated.

Did you download the new firmware and new software from www.pronto.philips.com ? If not, you should do that. It's much better than what ships with the remote.

After doing what toolkit said, the next step, IMO, is to set up "devices" for each electronic component to be controlled. Don't worry if the pages look pretty. The goal is to use them just for learning all the codes. Then (and this becomes more art than science), create new device pages with buttons based on function (how you use your system, rather than what any particular electronic component needs to do). "Link" these buttons to your learned code pages when assigning the "action(s)."

Somewhere in the process, you will discover the need for NeoHacker, available in the files section.
