I have seen so many negative things on customizing the neo. Will it hurt my unit where I can't use it again. I don't want to have to get another one if this hurts the unit.

I would like to creat channel logos but I have no clue how to use the soft where. I did however downloaded the current firmware and neoedit software.

I just don't know how to do any customizing can anyone here help please. Or is there a web site that I can go to and learn how.

Thankyou in advance........

Well, you took the first step by upgrading your firmware. Now you can use Edit 2.0. My advise if you are nervous is to take your time and experiment with the software. Check out the files section right here at RC and look over some the configs other people have made. Next download the ones you like. You can cut and paste the parts you want into your own config. It's very easy once you get the hang of it. This site has plenty of people willing to help. Just try to be as specific as possible with your questions. Good Luck. PS of course you should customize the Neo, it is totally boring and ugly if you don't.

hmm, nevedr really read any thing neg about customizing.. Hve seen problems with the Firmware update, maybe a few corrept ncf files, but that happens, it really all is 1 & 0 and an error can happen. Never had any problems with NCF files looking up either, as that was with the older software. I upload many of the ncf files too, as the Emulator is nice, but liked to "Test" it out on the Remote itself, and even doing all this uplaoding, never had a NCF lock me up.

Should you customize your Neo???!!! Of course! Why else would you have one? I am on the 20th revision of my Neo programmig (it is ALMOST where I want it). Make sure your firmware and software are current and GO FOR IT!

No I'm serious, I want to customize but I don't want to do it if it's going to hurt my unit. Some people on here have already customize and froze there unit or gert a corupt file and have to take the unit back, and that's what I'm trying to avoid.........

Why would you pay $140+ for a Neo if you didn't want to customize the user interface?
