I was wondering if I was selecting the right remote for me? I like how it has so many hard buttons, and I have a Philips DVD-701, Philips VRB611 VCR, Philips FW-P78 Mini-HI-FI home theater, and a Samsung TXK2567 TV. I hate juggling remotes, and I like the layout and touchscreen of the NEO. Is this the one for me?

Nick,

These days, it's less about the equipment you have and more about the remote you prefer. Above $150, every remote should work great for you - it's all about which unit you like! If the NEO appeals to you, go for it!

I have been through the Home Theater Master MX-1000, the ProntoPro, and the ProntoNeo.

Although the hard buttons available on the MX-1000 are much nicer, the screen is very dim, the screen painting is very slow, and the number of icons that you can use are very limited.

The color that the Pro gives is very nice, as is the larger screen. However, I really like the hard buttons for Tivo channel surfing (which is 50% of what I do).

The Neo gave the best mix of programmability and hard keys, plus it's much cheaper.
