I have found a solution to enter the Yamaha standard and extended I/R codes for my A/V receiver (RX-V620) in the ProntoNeo or Pronto.

Theses codes are available at
[Link: yamaha.com]

You need the discrete IR code for the Yamaha in the Pronto file section of Remote Central
[Link: remotecentral.com]

I have used the codes for "Diagnostic mode".

Copy these codes in IR Tool available:
[Link: remotecentral.com]

and press "Decode Hex". You obtain the Device and Command codes for "Diagnostic mode" and everything you need.

Enter your "Custom code" in the device section and the "Data Code" in the command section. Then click "Encode Hex". You now have the codes for Pronto.

After that, copy these codes in "Pronto2Neo converter" spreadsheet available at:
[Link: remotecentral.com]

Now you have the new codes for the ProntoNeo.

Modify your ncf file (learned codes only) with NeoHacker (same address) and download it to the Neo.

Some extended codes (for higher model) are not available for my model, try it.

Hi Regban!
I have a Yamaha 620RDS and have problems learning codes.
I wonder if you maybe have a readymade NCF file for Neo that i can use?

Best regards,

Classe

I couldn't get the NEO to learn some of the Yamaha functions (especially inputs) on my RX-V1000 but with the help here works great! Just one note. On the inputs at least you need to use the repeat part of the IR tool.

Cheers to REGBAN for the help!
