Dear Gentleman,

I bought my Neo last weekend and I’m still having difficulties installing the software. It seems to have a conflict with my Windows 98 OS. But I don’t know. The few persons with computer background I know weren’t able to give my any advice. Definitely the CD is working because I tried it at work and it installs properly (Windows 2000).

I will try to describe what’s happening:
1. The software doesn’t install by itself. So, I have to hit the Setup.exe file.
2. First window that appears: InstallWinshield Wizard w/”preparing to install” message
3. Second window: Windows Installer w/”preparing to install” message
4. 3rd window: Microsoft Data Access Components 2.5. It’s extracting few files
5. 4th window it’s a question: Do you want to install modem drivers? w/ YES or CANCEL buttons
6. If I press
 CANCEL, then a window requires to reboot the computer (or I can do it latter)
 YES, then it installs some driver components, but after that I’ll get the same ”reboot the computer…” window
7. If I reboot the computer , after the Win 98 starts, the loop goes back to point # 3. And keeps repeating that over and over again.

I’ve only seen the software installed at work.

Can anybody help me? Did anybody have this problem and they solved it? Does anybody know how to fix this problem?
Thank you very much in advance,
Cicero

I'm running win 98 and had no problems installing the software. Try downloading the newest version from Philips web site.
