Has anyone determined which LCD screen protector works best?
I have a Handspring and because of the screen protectors - I use WriteRight(TM) protectors - the screen is in perfect condition two years later. I want to use screen protectors on the ProntoNEO but I would rather not cut them to fit. Has anyone found a PDA model/cell phone protector that is the right size?
Thanks in advance.

Dustin: there is a big difference on how a PDA and a remote is used. On the PDA you tend to drag the pen, and that tends to cause scratches. On the remote you tend to push with the finger, so it does not tend to get scratched. At home I have had a Pronto for around two years without scratches. And at work we have been using Prontos (videoconferencing equipment) since Nov. 99 and none of them have scratches. And they are used a lot and by many different people.
I would assume the same is true for the Neo

As you can tell - I am new to the ProtoNEO - I love it by the way.
This may sound odd - but when the remote screen is soiled with fingerprints and the various goop that collects on remotes/phones etc... how do you clean it without being abrasive on the screen? Lint free towel with alcohol?
Although not the most expensive remote out there - I still don't want to spend $$ and then have the screen get mucked up. It took longenough to convince my wife we needed this remote in the first place. ;-)

I have used a damp napkin. I guess I am not as high tech :-)
Plus I have not used a Neo, but I found the Pronto responded better by using the tip of the finger (i.e. the nail) (I won't describe it since every time any one does it makes it sound like some kind of torture and as if it is awkward). A second advantage it keeps the screen cleaner (less finger prints). But at work I clean the screen every time I use it (every few weeks) and I cannot see any scratches.

Being anal, frugal and somewhat tight. . . (not actually - but I do hate to waste money) I went ahead and cut down one of my WriteRight screen protectors to see if it would impead viewing the screen.
It did exactly the opposite - it reduced, frankly removed all glare from the lcd. I can now see the buttons at a much greater angle than before. Further it didn't inhibit viewing when the backlight was on. I would recommend trying a screen protector for no other reason but the glare improvement.
YMMV - but I am pretty happy with the result.
