I get that, too, with the latest software. What OS are you running? I'm on Win2k.

Darn. I was hoping it would be the OS causing the problem. I'm stumped.

I have also posted this same message to Yahoo groups and still have gotten nowhere. I also sent a message to Philips about it but nothing so far. I guess we will have to wait until another upgrade to fix this upgrade. I love the remote. I have had no problems getting it to learn all of my equipment but I would like to add some bit maps and change a few things that I need the software for. And version 1.2 just doesn't cut it.

So this is three user's all running Win98 and having problems installing? When I had my laptop, NeoEdit installed fine, at least ver's 1,2 did. I had to DL and install the updated MS Windows installer, this sometimes will get installed from other MS apps, if they are newer programs at least. That is the only thought I can think of, just make sure all the temp files have been deleted and nothing else is running in the back ground. Other then doing a complete reinstall of the OS not sure what else you can do...

Also, is this Win98 or Win98 Second Edition?

i gave up trying to upgrade from 1.2 to 1.3 on pc. downloaded 1.3 from web onto my company laptop and went just fine...1.3 huge upgrade over 1.2, definitely worth the trouble, even if i do hate to work on my cheap company laptop. the ability to upload from neo to software saves a lot of time from re-entering learned codes.

One thing I have noticed is that the download is suppose to be slighly over 20megs., but I'm only downloading 18.7 megs.. Can this be the problem? I have downloaded the same file from this site and Philips. With the same results.

GOOD NEWS, after realizing that the full 20.1 megs were not being fully downloaded, only 18 or so megs were coming across. On the forth try I received the full 20.1 and all is well. The 1.3 version was well worth the time and effort to end that error 2355.
Hope this helps.
