I have been trying to use NeoHacker and am having a problem opening. I downloaded and extracted with Quick Zip in a sub directory in the Phillips folder. There is no exe file to start. I saw that a JRE is needed to run this program. I do not know what that is and went to java.sun.com to try to figure this out but got nowhere. Would Chocobolee or soneone else help me?
Buy the way I appreciate this forum since I am new and having been learning from it. I thank those that have uploaded .ncf files. This is how I am learning. I copied one and have been modifying it. I don't think I could have figured out NeoPronto Edit w/out this starting point.

Ok, I found the JRE and have it downloaded from Sun. It created a shortcut on my desktop for Java Web Start. I still can't open Neo Hacker. What am I doing wrong.

I'm using win 98 2nd edition. If Java web start is installed, and you get the sample application just by clicking on the icons in it, you should also be able to double click on the neohacker.0.6.jar file. If the explorer file association was not set up right, you can still go to the command prompt and cd to the directory where the jar file is and run: javaw -jar neohacker.6.jar
