I can't program about 4 crucial buttons for my TV (it's a Sony, go figure!) and over half the buttons from my DVD player won't be "learned" on the Neo. This thing is useless, unless there is some super duper program out there that increases it's learning capabilities.

Disgusted already,
Sam

$ hours and thats it! Took me over 2 days to learn most of the stuff and that was before there were any forums for the Neo!

I have learned ALL my Sony stuff without a problem, evern discrete IR codes trough the Cinema7. I don't know what make your DVD player is, so can't say much on that.

Give it some time and READ!! There is alot of info on the Neo now in the forums. If you have the software working fine, your alot farther alone then some of the user's!

Hang in there. It requires some work up front, but it is worth it. I have had mine for 3 days and I am still working on it. I have everything working, but I am constantly changing it to make it slicker. This is the best thing that I have ever seen! I had 5 remotes that I had to deal with. Now I hit one button, and everything comes on. If you read the Neo Edit manual and browse this forum, it will come together. Check out the .ncf files here and see how other people set it up.

I've got the software up and running, Neohack, NeoEdit, and updated the firmware on the remote. But, I have a Panasonic 5 disc DVD player with surround system and I have yet to find a code in ANY universal remote that works with it. All buttons have to be learned, period. The model number is SA-HT80. The fact that the Neo can't learn most of the buttons from the remote (it controls the DVD's as well as the sound setup) makes the Neo no good for me....Unit is still for sale.

It can learn all the buttons but sometimes it acts up! If you wait like 10 min without touching the remote and try learning it again, it should work - at least mine did that way!

I have had my Neo for almost 2 weeks now. It seems to me that the best thing about it (other than not having 5 remotes anymore) is that I can't stop updating it! It seems that everyday I have to show people how to use it all over again! I didn't even setup my DVD yet cause I am too busy doing so much else (animations, backgrounds, etc). My only problem with it is that now I want something bigger and better. But somehow I don't see my girlfriend letting me spend the kind of money that the ProntoPro costs...
