I have a new URC-300 that I am having a great deal of difficulty with. There are some commands that it will not learn from my Samsung DLP4667 remote. Most importantly, the remote will not learn the commands for the directional pad. Even though the URC says "good" then "saved" after learning the commands, they do not work at all. In fact, the learning process does not seem to change the default commands for the direction pad, which are volume for left and right, and changing source for down (up has no function). There are only two of the pre-programmed codes for Samsung TVs that work for me, and I cannot get the remote to learn these few critical commands (I have had success with learning other commands).

Does anyone have any suggestions before I return the remote? Anyone have sucess learning commands from a Samsung DLP?

Thanks!

If learning to the direction pad is not changing the function at all, you most likely have a punch through set to the VOD for that device. Reset the punch to VOD for TV (punch from TV, to TV) and see how it works.
