Is there any way to do an hour long delay with an MX800 or MX850?

I want to make a macro to automate recording a bunch of my Tivo shows at night into my PC.

Ie: something such as the following when positioned in the Tivo Play list
(I know there is more detail besides this needed)

Tivo Play
wait one hour (3600 seconds) <<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Tivo List
Tivo scroll down one
repeat

Any Ideas would be appreciated.
I have realizied I can do a 15 minute delay and a goto in one macro step
(30 - "Delay 30" followed by a GOTO)

Can I make a GOTO execute a new macro on that page??

I have to admit that I'm kind of stumped here. Why wouldn't you program the Tivo to automate recording on the Tivo? I don't understand why the logic needs to occur in the remote.

The programs are already recorded on the tivo -- I am trying to dump a bunch of them to my PC via a capture card (a whole season of one show) Since I don't want to watch them as I dump them to PC I would like to use my remote to automate starting the next show as each one ends (the tivo won't automatically play more than one show). This way at night I could dump 8 shows while the Tivo isn't normally in use.

(I catch up on the shows on my laptop on long flights).

I do not think there is a practical way to do this with a 850 as delays are limited to 30 secs. The MX-3000 has programmable timers that would do what you want.

Maybe someone over at the tivocommunity forums might have an idea as I've seen this discussed there, but as I recall, the only way was with a TiVo software mod.

I may need to get an IR blaster for my PC -- that would let me use girder or some other automation software to do this.

If one macro could only call or start another macro I thought I could use some of the unused pages on my MX-800 to do this.

Yes, I have the USB-UIRT and Girder and that can do it. There aren't too many remotes that have time of day type timers.

IF this is a Series 2 can't the program be exported in digital? Or did you actually want to dump it to VHS. But if you are sending it to a computer... would tivo server allow this? Only seen the program like 2 times and both times people use it unsuccesfully as an mp3 player.

Don't know about Girder. but there are lots programss that work with a capture card/capture device.

I capture recorded old movies off my TIVO and burn them to DVD for retention.

BUT it ties up my PC and has to be tended for start/stop. The OP's desired approach gets arround that if it can be worked I'm interested also, because I just got a DVD recorder and could set it up to record stuff off the TIVO hard drive late at night when no one is using the TIVO system. This would using the capture card and vastly speed up the job.
