Please be gentle, I have just got a MX-810 and am trying to learn how to use/program it. I have found almost everything I need for the units I use in my HT. The only problem is with the Onkyo HT-S990THX, this HTIB uses the HT-R940 A/V receiver. I have tried other Onkyo models with mixed success. Anyone have this unit or know which A/V receiver would work best? The Onkyo remote is RC-650M.

I don't have any experience with that specific model but if you have trouble just use something close and learn anything that doesn't work from the original remote.
It is a pretty painless process. You just mark all the buttons that do not work as bad and then the remote will step you through learning them one at a time.
